Expressive Arts Workshops in Toronto

Creative spaces for exploration, expression, and connection.

My expressive arts workshops offer opportunities to explore creativity alongside others in a welcoming, queer- and neurodivergent-affirming environment.

Depending on the workshop, we might work with visual art, writing, movement, imagery, reflection, or other forms of creative expression

.

You don't need to be an artist or have any previous creative experience. The focus is on the process, curiosity, and making space to explore.

You Don't Have to Be an Artist

Maybe you haven't made art since you were a kid. Maybe creativity is already a big part of your life. Or maybe the thought of making something in front of other people makes you a little nervous. All of that is welcome.

These workshops aren't about artistic ability or creating something impressive. You're invited to experiment, participate in ways that feel accessible to you, and see where the creative process takes you. Depending on the workshop, you may have opportunities to create, write, move, reflect, share, or simply notice. There is no “good at art” requirement here.

What You Might Explore

Every workshop has its own theme, but experiences may include:

  • reconnecting with creativity

  • experimenting with different forms of expression

  • exploring identity and self-expression

  • noticing thoughts, feelings, or experiences through creative processes

  • connecting with others through shared creative experiences

  • experimenting with art, writing, movement, imagery, or reflection

  • making room for play, curiosity, and exploration

Participation can look different from person to person. You're not expected to share anything personal that you don't want to share, and you're welcome to approach creative invitations in ways that work for you.

These workshops are experiential and creative. They are not group psychotherapy and participation does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

Meet Your Facilitator

Hi, I'm Savannah!  I'm an expressive arts therapist, psychotherapist, and visual artist based in Toronto.

Creativity has been part of my life long before it became part of my professional work. I love creating spaces where people can experiment with different forms of expression without needing to worry about whether they're doing art the “right” way.

My workshops draw on my background in expressive arts while being clearly distinguished from individual psychotherapy.
