Savannah Dasilva Multidisciplinary Artist
Toronto-based artist working across painting, pastel, collage, and mixed media.
My creative practice is colourful, experimental, and shaped by curiosity, identity, emotion, and the things I can't stop thinking about. I've been making art for more than 15 years, working across oil and acrylic painting, oil pastel, collage, and mixed-media processes.

About My Practice
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started as a love of making and experimenting eventually led me to art school and became a lasting part of how I understand and express myself.

My work is influenced by my lived experiences with mental health, neurodivergence, and chronic illness. I’m especially drawn to human anatomy and the strange, complicated experience of living in a human body and moving through the world in one.

My work tends to be bold, colourful, emotional, playful, and a little weird. I love figuring out the colour palette for a piece and seeing how colour can completely change its feeling. Oil paint and oil pastel are the materials I find myself returning to most, although I also work with acrylic, collage, and mixed media.

A lot of my process is simply following what interests me. I like experimenting, letting ideas get strange, and figuring out what a piece wants to become while I’m making it.

Art Beyond the Studio

My creative practice also extends beyond my own artwork. I facilitate expressive arts workshops and creative experiences that give people opportunities to experiment with materials, try something new, and create alongside others.

I’m especially interested in making creative spaces feel approachable. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist or know what you’re doing before you show up. There’s room to experiment, make something weird, change your mind, and see what happens.

I’m also available to discuss creative workshops for organizations, teams, community events, and other collaborative projects.
