Walk & Talk Therapy
Some people feel trapped or frozen sitting in a chair.
You might struggle with:
-
Restlessness or fidgeting
-
Feeling stuck in your head
-
Anxiety or rumination
-
Shutdown or emotional numbness
-
Difficulty accessing emotions indoors
-
Sensory overwhelm during traditional talk therapy
Movement can help your mind loosen and your body feel safer.

Not everyone processes emotions best while sitting still, especially neurodivergent people or those dealing with trauma, chronic pain, or anxiety.
Walk & Talk therapy honors that. Instead of being confined to a couch or office, you’re invited into a more natural, spacious environment where your body can move at the pace it needs.
This can help reduce nervous system activation, ease tension, and support clearer thinking. Some people find that walking side-by-side takes the pressure off eye contact, making it easier to share honestly. Others notice that being outdoors helps them feel grounded, creative, or more in tune with their emotions.
My Approach
Movement- based
Walk and talk therapy is a movement based approach. I understand the mind-body connection, and that’s why I think walk and talk therapy is an incredibly rich and fulfilling way to engage in therapy.
Mindfulness-based
In our work together, I gently weave in mindfulness practices. Simple tools to help you reconnect with your body, steady your emotions, and find practical ways to cope with life’s challenges.
How It Works
In Walk and Talk Therapy, we will meet at a location predetermined by the both of us. From there, we will walk as much (or as little!) as you wish. If you don’t want to walk for the full 50 minutes, we can sit for part of the session as well!

How Walk & Talk Helps
This approach can help you:
-
Regulate your nervous system through movement
-
Loosen stuck thoughts or emotions
-
Feel grounded through nature or walking rhythm
-
Reduce pressure or intensity
-
Connect mind and body in a gentle way
-
Communicate more naturally
Walking side-by-side often feels less intimidating than sitting face-to-face.
We move slowly, this is not exercise.
The goal is comfort, grounding, and connection.
